Dear Client,
I am looking forward to working with you and I wanted to assure you that I take many hygiene steps to make sure that we all stay safe and healthy when working together.
A couple decades ago I did contagious disease and hygiene course especially for hair and makeup artists, and I take care to minimize cross contamination and to insure that my clients are looked after.
Firstly, even though COVID protocols are now officially over I still adopt a mask wearing practice when doing makeup. Makeup artists are in very close proximity to their client’s face for a prolonged period of time. Due to this prolonged closeness, there is more potential transmission risk than it would be visiting your doctor. That is why during your makeup application I wear a mask. During your hairstyling I don’t wear a mask, but happy to should you prefer I do.
Health and Safety Steps FOR CLIENTs
On the day of your booking ( or if an early morning start, on evening prior), please send me a quick text before an hour before I am due to arrive on 0403571721 confirming that everyone I will be working on is healthy and well. IMPORTANT – for the health and safety of everyone, it is vital to let me know if you are unwell, even if just cough, or a scratchy throat or stomach bug. I ask that you please still COVID Test if you have any cold and flu symptoms and let me know if you are positive. I understand that this could mean missing out on getting your hair and makeup done, but I’m sure you can appreciate that keeping people safe and healthy is understandably much more important.
Please wash your hair either the morning of your appointment and please make sure it is free of all product. For early morning clients your hair can be washed the night before and left to dry naturally.
Please do not touch any of the tools or products in my kit to minimize cross contamination.
No other items should be placed on the table I am working on; e.g. food, drink, mobile phones etc.
Please provide me with an area to allow my workstation to be adequately socially distanced. Ideally where possible a clean table should be set up near an open window for good airflow.
Hygiene MEASURES I WILL HAVE IN PLACE
I will be wearing a a disposable P2 face mask when doing makeup. I will be disinfecting my hands with 80% ethanol by DB Cosmetics which is hospital grade.
My non-disposable brushes will be washed thoroughly dried and then soaked and wiped down with a hospital grade ethanol alcohol solution, before being used again. All mascara and lip applicators are one use only eco-friendly bamboo applicators.
I will be taking every measure I can to ensure no cross-contamination of my products. Including not double dipping into any products, including eyeshadows, blush and other dry products. Scraping out onto a disposable palette and sheet of paper all the products I will use on you.
Extra Information for Fashion/Advertising Shoots
Please note the following so you can allocate the appropriate time and setup when booking your models
All models are to adhere to all the hygiene rules outlined above
Please send onto models prior to the photoshoot. I require each client/model, to confirm via text to 0403571721 that they have read through this document and are happy to adhere to these guidelines.
On the morning of the shoot all models must text me on 0403571721 to confirm they are in well.
If I am doing more than one model on the day of the shoot – please allow me enough time to work responsibly disinfect everything before the next person.
On set if there is more than one model, I will be responsibly disinfecting my hands between doing touch-ups on each model. I will need the space to have a separate little area for each model to put their designated brushes and touch-up products away from the other model’s. A small table on set would be sufficient, or a couple chairs could be used
Thank you in advance for your compliance on this protocol and I look forward to working safely with you.
Nicole :)
